At VeryFirstTale, we aim to deliver your souvenirs with care, speed, and reliability. Please review the following shipping guidelines before placing your order -
Shipping & Delivery within India
Standard Delivery Timeline - Within 5-12 business days (Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays are non-business days)
Standard Free Delivery
We offer free standard shipping on all our orders, except for orders from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
The estimated delivery timeline is 5–12 business days. The same may change depending on the delivery pincodes.
All our Prepaid / COD orders will be shipped the next business day. Our pickups do not happen on Sundays & Public Holidays. Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Express Delivery
We offer an Express Delivery option at a flat fee of ₹100, in case you need your order urgently.
Orders under this option are shipped via our priority courier partners such as Blue Dart, DTDC Air, or other fast air shipping modes available, depending on the delivery pincode.
While we always aim for the fastest possible dispatch and delivery of your order, please note that our pickups do not occur on Sundays or public holidays, which may affect the delivery timelines.
The ₹100 express fee is non-refundable, even in case of courier network delays that are beyond our control.
However, we will always actively coordinate with the courier partner, raise a complaint if needed, and assist you with the best possible resolution in case your order breaches its promised delivery date under the Express Delivery Option.
Shipping Charges for Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep
We do offer free shipping on all our orders, no matter the order value!
However, for our customers from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, we do charge a flat Air Shipping fee of 90 INR.
Since these locations require Air Shipping & and have limited courier options available, we need to take a few extra steps to ensure your order reaches you safely. This small fee helps us to use the best and most reliable courier services available or India Post services for the timely delivery of your order. Do note that delivery estimates to these regions may take 7-10 extra business days.

Please do note that Urgent Deliveries may attract an additional Shipping Fee, and the same would be informed prior to placing the order.
Courier Partners / Shipping Options We Use
All orders are shipped via our trusted logistics partners such as Blue Dart, Delhivery, DTDC, Amazon Transport Services (ATS), Ecom Express, India Post, etc or any other Shiprocket-affiliated services.
We will always choose the most reliable and fastest courier available for your PIN code.
Once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking ID via SMS and email from our delivery partner.
Secure OTP Based Delivery
To ensure a safe and verified delivery experience, our courier partners may use OTP-based authentication at the time of delivery. We kindly request that you ensure that the provided contact number while placing the order is accessible / or the OTP is available during delivery, if asked.
It is important to provide a correct and active phone number while placing your order, as this number will be used for both shipping / delivery communication / OTP.
In cases where -
An incorrect number is provided to us while placing the order, and the delivery is unsuccessful due to OTP verification failure - the parcel may be returned to us.
Once the order is prepared for dispatch, we will not be able to change the mobile number. In such situations where the order comes back to us due to OTP Verification Failure, the customer will be charged a flat reshipping fee of ₹100. After the payment of the re-shipping fee, the order will be re-dispatched with the correct details.
Please note that no refunds or free replacements will be provided in such cases.
Cash On Delivery Orders
We understand that some customers may prefer placing orders via the Cash on Delivery (COD) Mode. While we primarily encourage prepaid orders for a smoother experience, we do offer the option of Cash On Delivery (COD), but only on request.
To place a COD order, we kindly ask you to reach out to us directly via email or WhatsApp. Once we receive your request, our team will verify and confirm the authenticity of the order before proceeding or confirming it.
Please note -
All COD orders will be confirmed via a phone call prior to packaging as well as dispatch.
If we are unable to reach you after multiple attempts and are unable to verify the authenticity of your order, or if the order appears likely to result in a return-to-origin (RTO), or the order appears to be a potential fake order, we may cancel the order beforehand.
A COD charge of ₹99 will apply over and above the order value. This helps us cover the additional cost of offering this service through our trusted logistics partners.

International Shipping
While we’re not accepting international orders directly through our website at the moment, we’d be happy to help place a manual order for you. Please write to us at hello@veryfirsttale.in with your order request.
International orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Once the order is dispatched, it might take about 3-4 weeks or longer for the order to be delivered, depending on the country. Final dispatch time will depend on all the products in the order.
Shipping rates will vary according to the country the order is being delivered to and will be communicated to you in advance. The number of items in the order may increase the shipping rates as well.
Once our order reaches its destination country, Customs Duties or Charges, Fees or any other additional charges may be charged on the parcel by your respective governing authorities at the port of entry to clear the parcel/order for delivery. Such charges would be borne directly by the customer.
VERYFIRSTTALE will not be responsible for any delays arising due to Customs clearance. For further clarification, we advise you to contact your local Customs Office at the port of your entry to know the Customs Duties for our products for your country, if any.
Returns, cancellations, exchanges and refunds are not applicable on international orders.
Visible Damage To Outer Package / Box At The Time of Delivery
At VeryFirstTale, we take utmost care to ensure your order reaches to you in its perfect condition. However, at the time of delivery, if you notice that the outer packaging of your order appears to be damaged, folded, or unsealed in any way — and you suspect that the contents inside may have been affected due to this — we kindly request you to -
Take clear photos and/or videos of the parcel as soon as you notice the issue, during the delivery.
Politely reject the delivery by informing the delivery agent that the package appears to have been damaged in transit.
Once you've done this and rejected the delivery, please reach out to us immediately via email at hello@veryfirsttale.in or our WhatsApp Support, sharing the photos/videos along with your order details.
We will immediately initiate a Shipment Damage Claim with our courier partner for a damaged or tampered shipment and open a formal investigation on your behalf. After verifying your concern, we’ll gladly dispatch a free replacement for your order within 3–4 business days, at no extra cost to you.
Delayed Deliveries
Once a package leaves our shipping facility, we rely completely on our courier partners for final delivery.
We are not responsible for any delays caused by courier network issues, regional disruptions, or logistics constraints.
However, we will do our best to raise a support ticket and help expedite a resolution if any such delay or situation occurs.
Wrong Address or Contact Information
Requests to change or correct an address or phone number are only accepted within 2 hours of placing your order.
Once your order is dispatched, or the 2-hour timeline has passed, whichever comes first, no changes can be made to the shipping details.
If an incorrect or incomplete address/contact leads to an RTO (Return to Origin) -
- INR 150 re-shipping fee will apply to dispatch the order again.
- The order will only be re-shipped after the re-shipping fee is paid in full.
- No discounts or fee waivers will be entertained.
- No refunds / replacement will be provided in case of non-delivery due to a wrong or incomplete address.
- Any delay in payment will result in further delay in re-shipping and delivery.
We are not responsible for non-delivery caused by -
- Incorrect/incomplete address or phone number
- Customer unavailable at time of delivery
- Delay in paying the re-shipping fee
Order Delay in Transit
While we strive to ensure timely deliveries for all our orders, there may be rare instances when an order is delayed in transit due to courier network issues or unforeseen reasons. In such cases -
We will raise a priority request with the courier to speed up your delivery.
Our team will investigate the cause of the delay as per the courier’s tracking updates.
Although such delays are beyond our direct control, we will do our best to coordinate with the courier on your behalf.
Our goal is to ensure your package reaches you as quickly as possible, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding during such situations.

Missing Packages & Delivery Disputes
If your order is marked as delivered but not received, or if it appears lost in transit, please contact us via email at hello@veryfirsttale.in immediately. We will raise a delivery dispute with our logistics partner and would try our best to resolve the issue as soon as possible. While we will support your case to the best of our ability, we are not monetarily responsible for lost or stolen packages.
No replacement or refund will be provided in case of a denied dispute.
Missing Items In The Package
If your order has a missing item please email us within 48 hours of the package marked as delivered. We will raise a missing item dispute with our logistics partner.
You can email or WhatsApp us with the subject line as ‘MISSING ITEM’.
Requests received for missing item disputes after 48hours of delivery will NOT be accepted as we are dependent on the logistics partner’s terms and conditions for the same.
A ticket will be issued with the shipping partner to and further look into the matter. We are fully dependent on the conclusion received by the shipping partner and will keep you in loop with the same.
An unboxing video will be required as proof to claim any monetary loss of the missing item.
We will do our best to find a resolution but will not be held responsible monetarily for lost or stolen items.
No replacements or refunds will be issued in case of denied disputes by the logistics partner.
